The Acolytes report: data Entry 002: Testing lists and some hobby progress

Howdy!

I hope whomever is reading this is having a swell day and is at least slightly curious about what I got going on. In today's article, I will go over the list I am using, a game I played with it and some hobby progress I have going on. Thanks again for popping on over and keep on reading to see how the loyal forces of the Emperors Inquisition have fared…

I seem to be forcing myself to either suffer through a pain matrix of my own making or attempting to apply the philosophy of ‘playing one of the worst factions will surely make me better at the game’. The jury is still out on which one is the real answer, but I definitely hope it is the latter. For those of you that don't know, I love the Inquisition within the 40k universe. I read the first Eisenhorn novel about a decade ago, and I have not once looked back. When GW made Imperial Agents as a faction I windmill slammed the buy button on their codex immediately. For this new edition we are in, I am attempting to play Imperial Agents even at a semi-competitive level. This is a tall ask, but I will endure and go for as long as I can.

My current list is this abomination:

I know most of you reading this won't understand a fair bit about what any of this means. Rest assured, I am taking the approach of ‘Tanks don't exist if I don't acknowledge them.’ There will be repercussions to this philosophy but I am choosing to ignore them.

Speaking of repercussions for my actions, that is exactly what happened in my game I had against one Trevor. If you have not had the privilege of playing against Trevor, I highly recommend it. He is a wonderful human being, a good warhammer player and a blast to be around. Our game was fairly close all the way to the very end until I managed to barely squeak it out ahead.

Here is the score from the game:

(Myself)

(Trevor)

This man brought a Stompa to the table. It survived with barely a scratch. Some of the more observant will notice my Beacon was discarded. This is because he rolled a 12 on a charged up, battleshocked Boyz Squad with Warboss and Painboy into them. The dice decreed it, so it happened.

As for some hobby progress, I have been plugging away at some Inquisitorial Agents to get them to a better quality than they were before. I have also started work on Inquisitor Kroyle. The previously mentioned Agents:

And Inquisitor Kroyle:

Thank you for taking the time to read my article. I know it was a bit long, so I will work on shortening future articles. I hope you will have a good rest of your day, take care and roll some dice.

The Emperor protects!
